Pique reveals secrets from the Barcelona players' WhatsApp group

As is the case at most football clubs, the Barcelona players have a WhatsApp group where they share information and jokes and Gerard Pique has spoken about it on Spanish TV.

The centre-back explained that all members of the current squad are in it, as well as some former players.

"The logo is the Barcelona crest and the group name is 'FC Barcelona', we're very creative!" he joked while appearing on Movistar's 'La Resistencia' programme.

"It's to create a good atmosphere, as the atmosphere is important.

"It's the whole squad and even some players who have left.

"It's hard to kick your former teammates out of the group, but Neymar isn't there, for example."

He went on to explain that they sometimes invite Real Madrid-supporting journalists into the group for a brief period to see what they'll say or do.

"We invite some people, like Tomas Roncero or Alfredo Duro," Pique revealed.

"We troll them and then remove them again.

"I don't know if they realise it's really us, but I think so.

"But I'll tell them it's really us and you can participate."There are some times when we keep them in the group for longer and they still don't say anything.

"We give them a day or two at a time and have done this three or four times, but they don't say anything.

"To be in this group is a privilege!"
