Barrow and Ebbsfleet share spoils after goalless draw

Barrow and Ebbsfleet both missed the opportunity to close in on the National League play-off places after drawing 0-0 at Holker Street.
A fourth draw in five outings left the hosts 10 points off the top seven and six behind their opponents, who recorded a second successive goalless stalemate.
There was little excitement in the first half, but Barrow’s Jason Taylor picked up his 10th booking of the campaign following a foul on Michael Cheek – one of five cautions the hosts received during the game.
Barrow had the ball in the net twice, but on both occasions – Josh Kay in the first half and John Rooney in the second – the flag was up for offside.
The hosts nearly found a way through in the final minute but substitute Luke Burgess saw his effort bounce off the ground and over the crossbar.
