QPR vs Portsmouth - QPR set to be without experienced trio again for FA Cup replay

QPR boss Steve McClaren looks set to again be without three experienced players for Tuesday’s FA Cup fourth-round replay against Portsmouth.

Geoff Cameron (ankle), Tomer Hemed (hernia) and Angel Rangel (thigh) are all on the comeback trail having been sidelined since early December, but are likely to miss out once more.

Bright Osayi-Samuel could be pushing for a start after making a goalscoring appearance off the bench in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Wigan.

That was QPR’s third successive Championship defeat and could lead to McClaren shuffling his pack against League One Pompey.

Portsmouth captain Brett Pitman will be hoping to earn a recall after being dropped for Saturday’s home draw with Doncaster.

The 31-year-old, Pompey’s top scorer last season, was not even in Kenny Jackett’s 18-man squad for the match but the manager has not ruled him out of Tuesday’s match.

In Pitman’s stead, new signing Omar Bogle made his first start and scored his second goal for the club, while fellow new signing James Vaughan came off the bench for the second half and impressed Jackett.

Republic of Ireland international Ronan Curtis misses out through suspension, Viv-Solomon Otabor is cup-tied and Bryn Morris and Dion Donohue are injury doubts.
