Tom Carroll could return for Swansea when they host Birmingham on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has not featured since October after suffering hip and groin problems.
Wilfried Bony could also be left out after missing the FA Cup win over Gillingham with his future in doubt and he has been linked to Qatari side Al Sadd.
Joe Rodon (foot) and Wayne Routledge (calf) are out but Kyle Naughton (knee) could return.
Birmingham could hand a debut to Kerim Mrabti at the Liberty Stadium.
The 24-year-old has had a week training following his free transfer from Swedish club Djurgardens IF.
Blues also cancelled Omar Bogle’s loan from Cardiff on Monday with the forward joining Portsmouth.
David Davis is still out but the midfielder has stepped up his recovery after suffering a broken ankle during pre-season and is in full training but not match fit.
