Mansfield defender Hayden White will miss the visit of Tranmere after breaking a leg in last week’s win over Colchester.
Forward Alex MacDonald and defender David Mirfin are still sidelined as they continue their recovery from knee injuries.
Striker Craig Davies is absent with an ankle injury.
Goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik has been ruled out for the season with an anterior cruciate ligament rupture.
Tranmere midfielder Ben Pringle is in line to make his debut having joined on loan from Preston this week.
However, fellow January arrival Ishmael Miller has been ruled out for an indeterminate period of time with a hamstring injury, sustained in last Saturday’s defeat to Swindon, which requires surgery.
Defender Mark Ellis is still struggling with a neck injury.
Striker George Waring has left the club by mutual consent after returning from a recent unsuccessful loan spell with Kidderminster.
