BORUSSIA DORTMUND sporting director Michael Zorc has made it clear Jadon Sancho will not be leaving the club anytime soon.
The 18-year-old starlet's rise in the Bundesliga has not gone unnoticed with Manchester United thought to be keeping tabs on the young Brit.
Sancho is having a breakthrough season as he has become Dortmund's key player, scoring seven goals and assisting 10 so far - which also earned him his first England caps last year.
His emergence even prompted the club's USA sensation Christian Pulisic to move to Chelsea in search of more first-team football.
United have been linked with a move for the former Manchester City player, despite him signing a bumper contract extension with Dortmund a few months ago, which tripled his wages.
But the Bundesliga leaders' chief has told potential suitors Sancho will not be leaving the club anytime soon.
Zorc told ESPN: "He's an outstanding talent and a big part of our future.
"We are convinced that we are the best option for him to keep developing. He's not finished yet. Not by a long stretch.
"And he will certainly play with us next year, come what may."
Sancho recently insisted he enjoyed his time in Germany, and said he did not think about moving back to England.
He said: "I just want to play football and I’m getting that opportunity here.
"I’m happy right now — I’ve adapted really well. The language barrier worried me quite a lot. My German isn’t the best but I’m learning."
However, it has been revealed British football stars playing abroad might be forced to return to their homeland if the UK opts for a no deal Brexit.
Ahead of the second part of the season, Dortmund top the Bundesliga table leading second-placed Bayern by six points.
