Ash rescues point for Boreham Wood in eight-goal thriller

Dagenham & Redbridge and Boreham Wood served up a cracker in a 4-4 draw at Victoria Road after Bradley Ash’s late equaliser.

Affairs seemed done and dusted when Luke Garrard’s visitors made a sensational start with three goals in the first 35 minutes, courtesy of Idris Kanu on his debut, Ricky Shakes and Justin Shaibu.

But it was trumped by an extraordinary Daggers comeback in five incredible minutes before the break as Conor Wilkinson, Liam Gordon and Angelo Balanta cancelled out the deficit.

It set up a combative second half in which both sides fought tirelessly for victory.

Gordon dinked Dagenham ahead with 15 minutes remaining, but the pulsating encounter ended level after Ash netted late on to earn Boreham a point.
