Queen of the South ended their four-match winless Ladbrokes League One streak following a 2-1 comeback victory at Inverness.
Both sides created several openings in a busy first half as Stephen Dobbie fired straight at Inverness goalkeeper Mark Ridgers and Josh Todd fired over and wide, while Jordan White spurned two great chances for the hosts.
Firstly, he could not beat Alan Martin, the Queen of the South goalkeeper, when through on goal before the striker failed to hit the target from close range after Tom Walsh’s header hit the crossbar.
Coll Donaldson rattled a post for the hosts in the second period, with White missing the rebound, but Inverness soon took the lead in the 69th minute when Walsh volleyed home from 12 yards.
However, the Doonhamers turned the game on its head with two goals in two minutes as Scott Mercer converted Jordan Marshall’s cross in the 83rd minute before Dobbie clinched the win with his 30th goal of the season.
