Zak Rudden effort enough as Falkirk shock Ayr

Falkirk moved off the bottom of the Scottish Championship table with a 1-0 win over high-flying Ayr.
The Honest Men had the chance to go top of the table but Zak Rudden scored the only goal of the game after 56 minutes to hand Falkirk their first win in five.
Russ MacLean brought a save from Ross Doohan as the visitors made a promising start but the promotion-chasers had a chance of their own through Craig Moore.
Moore had a goal chalked out for offside just after the half-hour mark before Ian McShane hit the crossbar for the Bairns but the sides could not be separated at the break.
Falkirk had had marginally the better of it and they took the lead 11 minutes after the break as Rudden tucked home the rebound after a shot from MacLean.
David Mitchell had to make two impressive saves for Falkirk in the closing stages but Ayr saw their unbeaten run end at 10.
