Transfer news LIVE - Saturday, January 5
- Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi is determined to join Bayern Munich this month
- Liverpool will not be pursuing Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir during the January window, but have sold Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth for £19m
- Arsenal have had a £55m bid rejected for Roma star Cengiz Under
Man City star off to Real Madrid
Manchester City youngster Brahim Diaz will turn his back on Pep Guardiola and complete a move to Real Madrid next week.
Starsport understand City have reluctantly agreed a £15m fee with Real Madrid, after Diaz made it clear he won't sign an extension.
That fee could rise to £20m if he's a hit at the Bernabeu.
Huddersfield sign Palace outcast
Crystal Palace have loaned unwanted winger Jason Puncheon to Huddersfield for the rest of the season.
He'll be hoping to haul the Terriers to safety, with David Wagner's side eight points off 17th-place Cardiff.
Rangers put duo through medicals
Rangers have put two stars through medicals today as Steven Gerrard plans for the long and short-term at Ibrox.
Gers are working on deals for Premier League veterans Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis.
But Rangers are also thinking ahead to the summer, and have today put two soon-to-be free agents through medical examinations.
Jordan Jones, the Kilmarnock midfielder, and Dundee's Glen Kamara both look set for moves to Glasgow at the end of the season for nothing.
Nathaniel Clyne has joined Bournemouth on loan
Liverpool DONE DEALS
Bournemouth have signed Dominic Solanke from Liverpool for an initial £19m.
More cash could follow if Solanke is a hit, with add-ons built into the transfer.
Bournemouth have also taken Liverpool full-back Nathaniel Clyne on loan until the end of the season.
Clyne joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2015 and was a regular in the starting line-up in his first two seasons at Anfield.
But he was then overtaken in the pecking order while out injured by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Joe Gomez and James Milner can cover in that position and Jurgen Klopp has now decided to loan him out.
Man Utd eye Carrasco
Manchester United are reportedly chasing Yannick Carrasco - but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces one huge obstacle.
Carrasco left Atletico Madrid for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang last year but is already being linked with a return to Europe.
AC Milan are reportedly keen on signing the winger.
And according to Foot Mercato, United have also expressed an interest in the 25-year-old.
However, Leonardo Jardim is reportedly set to be announced as the new manager of Dalian Yifang.
The Portuguese was sacked by Monaco in October, bringing an end to his four-year spell in charge.
Carrasco played under Jardim for a year at the Ligue 1 giants and will likely want to play under his former mentor again in China over a move to United.

Palace DONE DEAL
Crystal Palace have confirmed that Jonny Williams has left the club to join League One side Charlton Athletic on a permanent deal.
The Welsh midfielder has been with the Eagles for 17 years, and was a regular in the Palace side during their promotion-winning season in 2012/13.
But Wiliams has found appearances hard to come by recent seasons that has resulted in loan spells at Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland.
Williams made 70 first team appearances for the club during his time at Palace.

Alderweireld extension
Tottenham have confirmed they have activated the option to extend Toby Alderweireld's contract until 2020.
The Belgian defender's current deal had been due to expire in the summer, leading to interest from Manchester United.
Alderweirled was in and out of the side under Mauricio Pochettino last season and widespread reports suggested he was set to leave.
But Pochettino clearly has plans to keep hold of the former Ajax man, making it harder for United to now prise him away from north London.

Hudson-Odoi agreement
Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi already has an agreement in place with Bayern Munich and is demanding a January move, according to German journalist Raphael Honigstein.
Bayern have reportedly already seen bids of £15m and £20m rejected by the Blues, with Hudson-Odoi having less than 18 months remaining on his current contract.
Chelsea are reluctant to let him leave but the fact Bayern are refusing to back down in their pursuit suggests Hudson-Odoi has already made his mind up, says Honigstein.
"Chelsea will be hoping they will change his mind by turning these bids down now. Unless he gets more game-time, he's pretty adamant he's moving," Honigstein told the Transfer Talk podcast.
"The fact Bayern are making these bids should be taking as a strong sign that the player wants to do this move.
"Bayern would not come back with a second bid if they didn't feel they already had the agreement with the player to make this happen.
"He definitely wants to go - that much we can say for certain.
"It essentially comes down to his willingness to push this and run down his contract.
"If he continues to stick with that, then of course Bayern could of course do a similar deal that Chelsea themselves have just done with Pulisic.
"They will say ‘you know what, we will buy you next year but tie you up now'. It will be very interesting."

Arsenal's Under bid
Arsenal have submitted a £55m bid for Roma star Cengiz Under, according to Turkish publication Fotomac.
Under has been in impressive form for Roma this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
His displays have seen him linked with a move to the Premier League despite being under contract with the Serie A side until 2022.
Roma have swiftly rejected the offer though with the Italian side adamant he won't be sold.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham are also said to be tracking the midfielder.
Transfer news: Liverpool will not be renewing their interest in Nabil Fekir
Liverpool's Fekir decision
Liverpool won't be signing Nabil Fekir this month, according to Daily Mail reporter Dominic King, who claims Anfield bosses will not attempt to sign any players for Jurgen Klopp's first team during the January transfer window.
Liverpool agreed a fee worth around £53m for Fekir with Lyon in June but scrapped the deal at the 11th hour amid concerns over a previous injury.
A number of bookies have slashed the odds on the Frenchman finally moving to the club this month.
But King wrote on Twitter: "Some bookmakers are offering prices on Nabil Fekir joining Liverpool and suggesting ‘odds are tumbling'.
"It's absolute garbage.
"Let's be clear for one last time - Nabil Fekir is not a Liverpool target.
"He will not be a target again.
"Liverpool won't say anyone this month."
Transfer news: Reports claim Mauricio Pochettino has been in talks with Manchester United
Man Utd want Maddison
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has reportedly been in transfer talks with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Caught Offside claim Pochettino has been in talks with United's executive vice-chairman Woodward over summer signings already.
And the one player Pochettino wants to take with him to Old Trafford, should he leave, is Leicester's James Maddison.
They say the 22-year-old is valued at around £70m and United will need to meet that fee before the Foxes even consider doing business.
United have reportedly opened talks with Leicester in a bid to meet Pochettino's request in the hope that will boost their chances of bringing the Argentine to Old Trafford.
