Asamoah Gyan Claims He's 'Broke' And Has Just £600 In His Bank Account

Remember Asamoah Gyan? Well, he's hit rock bottom.

He's reportedly broke despite being on a massive contract whilst playing in China.

Gyan was earning a believed £227,000-a-week at Shanghai SIPG between 2015-2017 though he's now just got £600 to his name, and unfortunately can't provide for his family.

The 33-year-old, who enjoyed a stint in the Premier League with Sunderland, is currently plying his trade in Turkey with Kayserispor.

But it's not going well. He's apparently not getting paid.

Gyan was asked if he had any other bank accounts in the countries where he has played football.

"My front and back, up and down is that money (£600) you see there," he told MyNewsGh.com.

The Ghanaian striker was also on big bucks in the Middle East.

He enjoyed a spell at Al Ain on loan from Sunderland, before making the deal a permanent transfer following a prolific spell in front of goal.

However, since moving to Turkey in 2017, his financial situation has turned sour.

The report continues by stating that he hasn't spoken to his family which includes three children and a wife, not to mention failing to return their phone calls.

It's understood he's requested an annulment in order to marry his current girlfriend.

Gyan has lived lavishly during the years, spending serious money on clothes, jewellery and cars yet he's now struggling to make ends meet.

Here's hoping he can turnaround his life.
