Bolton Wanderers vs Stoke City - No fresh worries for Wanderers ahead of Stoke clash
Posted Thursday, December 27, 2018 by PA
Bolton have no fresh injury worries ahead of Saturday’s visit of Stoke.
Craig Noone and Josh Vela are pushing for starts for the Sky Bet Championship strugglers.
But boss Phil Parkinson could stick with the same side which ended a 13-match winless run with a 2-1 victory over Rotherham on Boxing Day.
Wanderers are one point from the safety line after the win against their relegation rivals.
Stoke boss Gary Rowett is waiting to discover if Erik Pieters will be fit for the trip north.
The left-back missed Boxing Day’s 2-0 defeat at Birmingham with a hamstring issue but could return for Saturday’s game.
Cuco Martina could be replaced by Tom Edwards, while Benik Afobe or Peter Crouch may be recalled for Saido Berahino.
James McClean and Sam Clucas may also be rested to keep them fresh.
