Notts County midfielder Davies suspended for Bury match

Midfielder Keston Davies will be sidelined for Notts County’s Sky Bet League Two clash against Bury as he starts a three-match suspension.
Davies was given his marching orders against Macclesfield on Boxing Day for kicking the ball at Tyrone Marsh while the Silkmen midfielder lay on the floor.
Midfielder Elliott Hewitt was withdrawn before half-time with an apparent groin injury in the 2-1 defeat to Sol Campbell’s men that saw County slide to the bottom of the Football League.
Lewis Alessandra and Enzio Boldewijn continue their recoveries from knee injuries and are making progress, although it will be January or February before either are back in first team contention.
Bury boss Ryan Lowe may shuffle his pack once again after a 2-1 loss to Mansfield on Boxing Day that saw the Shakers drop from fourth to sixth in the standings.
Lowe made five changes to his starting line-up at the One Call Stadium but admitted “we were not good enough”.
Defenders Eoghan O’Connell and Tom Miller, midfielder Stephen Dawson and forwards Dominic Telford and Caolan Lavery were all rotated in from the side that defeated Tranmere at the weekend.
Nicky Adams, Neil Danns, Callum McFadzean, Byron Moore and Nicky Maynard all dropped to the bench so may be pushing for returns.
