Ole Gunnar Solskjaer snubbed
Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will NOT have a say in the club’s recruitment during the January transfer window.
That is the belief of Norwegian football analyst Ben Wells, who has studied Solskjaer’s Molde side over the last three seasons.
Solskjaer, who spent 11 years of his playing career at Old Trafford, was appointed interim boss last week following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
United are eager to add a centre-back to their ranks and it was previously reported that Solskjaer will be given £50million to spend next month.
But Wells, who watches every Eliteserien game as an analyst for FootballRadar, is not convinced the United legend will bestow such weight in recruitment discussions, though.
Speaking about the winter window, Wells told Express Sport: “It wouldn’t surprise me if there were signings, but I can’t imagine they would go via Solskjaer.
"He might have a final say, but a lot of it would go over his head beforehand.
"It’ll be intriguing to see how they do back him.”
Eden Hazard warning
Chelsea legend Michael Essien has warned that every player wants to turn out for Real Madrid.
Eden Hazard has been in standout form for the Blues this season and has been repeatedly linked with Los Blancos.
The Blues value their prized asset in excess of £150m but Essien has hinted that his old team-mate might want to test himself in La Liga.
Essien exclusively told Express Sport: “Hazard is one of the best players in the world.
"He’s been playing in the Premier League very well and looks fantastic at the moment.”

Liverpool have been told to snap up Jadon Sancho - but only when he’s an established Bundesliga star.
The England international moved to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City in the summer.
Since quitting the Etihad for Germany, Sancho has been a standout performer.
He’s already bagged six goals in 22 games for Dortmund.
Paul Ince, however, has urged caution.
He exclusively told Express Sport: “I think when you look at Sancho, let’s not go overboard. He’s only 18.
"We don’t want to make these players better than what they are the moment, they’re still only young and have a long way to go.”

Real Madrid stunned
Real Madrid have finally edged ahead of Barcelona in the betting odds to sign Harry Kane.
Tottenham star Harry Kane has been on superb form this season and is wanted by a number of elite European clubs.
Express Sport understands Manchester United have tracked Kane for many months.
But with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer currently in temporary charge, the Red Devils' main focus now is securing the services of a new manager.
And bookmakers Ladbrokes have seen a major swing in the odds in recent days.
It is understood that Barcelona are now the new favourites ahead of rivals Real Madrid to land the striker.
Barca are 2/1 to secure his services, with Real at 9/4.
Manchester United are considering some moves to help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer get them back to the top four - and are in talks over a defender.
Liverpool are ready to pounce if anyone they're keen on is available so it could be a big month in England.
Man Utd talks
Manchester United are talking to the agent of Fiorentina star Nikola Milenkovic, who was scouted earlier this season by Jose Mourinho!
Mourinho was spotted watching Milenkovic on international duty back in the autumn.
The Portuguese manager has since been sacked but United want Milenkovic all the same.
La Republic claim Milenkovic's agent has been in talks with United officials over possible deal in the New Year.
Fiorentina supposedly want £45m for the 21-year-old - a hefty fee for midway through the season.
And with United seeking a new permanent manager for the summer, they may instead line up Milenkovic for an end-of-season deal, rather than try to sign him next month.

Ramsey salary at Juventus
Aaron Ramsey will earn a healthy pay packet at Juventus if he quits Arsenal for Italy in the summer.
Reports in Italy claim Ramsey is set to earn around £9m a season at the Serie A giants.
Juventus pay Cristiano Ronaldo £26m a year after he completed a £105m transfer from Real Madrid in the summer.
And they are willing to make Ramsey one of their highest-paid players - and are able to do so because he won't cost a transfer fee.

Celtic transfer latest
Celtic are set to snare Timothy Weah from PSG, it has emerged on Christmas Day.
Weah, the son of former footballer George Weah, is all set to leave PSG after failing to convince manager Thomas Tuchel he is worthy of a first-team place.
The USA forward will leave PSG in the January transfer window and Celtic are all ready to snap him up.
Weah wrote on Instagram: "I just want to take the time to talk to everyone about the decision my family and I made about going on loan this winter.
"First of all, I want to thank the fans for their constant support, as well as the coaching staff and my teammates, for keeping me in my mind and for me to always feel apart from this family.
"These few months were great even though I did not play much, I was always grateful for the opportunities I had at the beginning of the season because it opened many doors for me this winter.
"I love you and I know you will go to the end and you will take the title this year, god is with you all. For you fans "the ultras also of course" I will miss the stadium, as well as the energy that you bring to each game.
"I love you and God bless you. I hope that after these six months, I will be ready to return to the Parc des Princes and give everything to make you proud to be Parisian."

Dembele contract
Karamoko Dembele has signed a contract to stay at Celtic until 2021.
The 15-year-old has penned his first pro deal.
"It means a lot to me to start my professional career at Celtic,” Dembélé told CelticFC.net. “I came here at a young age and, after all the stuff me and family have been through together, it’ll be good to make them proud.
"I’d like to say thank you to everyone, and I’d like to thank everyone for everything they’ve done for me. I’d also like to thank everyone for the training I’ve received, the discipline I’ve been taught, and the advice I’ve been given all the way.”
Real Madrid deals
Real Madrid are preparing for a big month when the January transfer window open - but who are their most likely signings.
Despite links with Chelsea star Eden Hazard at least five players are more likely to join Real Madrid in January, according to Betfair.
One of them is Manchester United outcast Alexis Sanchez and another is Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino.
However the favourite is former Liverpool man Suso.

Palace want Solanke
Crystal Palace want to sign Dominic Solanke from Liverpool.
The England striker is keen to leave Anfield on loan next month and has been linked with Rangers and Huddersfield.
And Palace are also keen as Roy Hodgson looks to add more fire power to his squad.
He is yet to play this season but Jurgen Klopp wants to get through the Christmas period before making a call on him.
Koulibaly to Arsenal
Alan Smith reckons Arsenal should go for Kalidou Koulibaly in January - but isn't sure they can get him.
The Napoli star is on several clubs radars for January but Arsenal might have a go.
"I commentated on the Liverpool vs Napoli game and Koulibaly, the centre-half for Napoli, is very much sought after,” Smith told Express Sport.
"Whether Arsenal can get their clutches in for him, they’ll all be in for him, or most of the top teams in the Premier League.

Dembele ramps up Arsenal talk
Ousmane Dembele has been spotted in London - so could he be on his way to the Premier League?
The Barcelona ace has struggled to fit in in Spain after his switch from Borussia Dortmund last season.
He's been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool already this season and now he's been spotted in England.
Dembele was seen with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shopping for Christmas.
PSG want Doucoure
PSG are eyeing a deal for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure according to the Daily Mail.
The Watford star has impressed in a year and a half in England and is being monitored by Everton.
But PSG are now in the mix and could make a £30m move in January.
He signed a new five-year deal in August though and Watford will play hardball over any sale.

Torreira off already?
Paul Ince has warned Arsenal there is already interest in new star Lucas Torreira.
The midfielder have been brilliant since joining from Sampdoria and Ince thinks others have taken notice.
"At the end of the day, it’s the way of the world,” he exclusively told Express Sport.
"As a player when you go to a team and perform there’s always going to be teams that are interested in you.”
Ince tells Liverpool about Sancho
Paul Ince has told Liverpool to start looking at Jadon Sancho - in a year or two.
"I feel with Sancho, the boy’s done well and he’s been brave to make that decision to go and play in Germany.
"He needs to keep playing games until he’s 19 or 20.
"Then maybe Liverpool should start looking at him.
"And not just him, there’s other kids out there [in Germany] doing well.”

Arsenal in for a defender
Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith thinks the club will go for a centre-back in January.
Smith doubts Shkodran Mustafi is up to the task so reckons Unai Emery could dip into the market next month.
"Well we know it’s notoriously difficult in January but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Unai Emery had got his eye on somebody and he did bring somebody into the club,” he told Express Sport.
"Who that might be I don’t know. But I think central defence will probably be his first port of call."
Klopp ready
Jurgen Klopp says he is ready to make a move in the January transfer window if an opportunity presents itself.
Klopp said: ”I’m very happy with what I've got, but how I said, we don't know.
"We keep the door open because if something happens then we have a look. As long as we can react, it's all good.
"If something dramatically changes, then we need to look."
Solskjaer warning
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been warned he won't have an input in transfers.
Norwegian expert Ben Wells insists the club will go over his head.
"It wouldn’t surprise me if there were signings, but I can’t imagine they would go via Solskjaer," he told Express Sport.
"He might have a final say, but a lot of it would go over his head beforehand. It’ll be intriguing to see how they do back him. It does matter to an extent if he’s going to get anything out of the team.”
