Everton 2 – Tottenham 6

Everton and Spurs played out the highest scoring game of the Premier League season on Sunday.

Despite Theo Walcott's early goal, Everton were crushed and once they went in at half-time 3-1 down, never looked like getting back into the match.

Spurs were rampant, hitting six and placing them on the outskirts of the two-horse title race between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Tottenham shared the goals amongst Heung Min Son (2), Harry Kane (2), Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.

A strong Christmas period and Spurs will be talked about as serious title challengers.

A clip from after the Everton 2 – Spurs 6 match has begun to go viral as it shows the Tottenham manager talking with the Toffees centre back.

Mina was an unused substitute in the Premier League match and unlike Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma, likely had his reputation enhanced by not playing.

Davinson Sanchez and Mina know each other from international duty and were catching up on the pitch when Pochettino came over to speak to the Colombian pair.

Screenshots of the conversation between Pochettino & Mina are below.

Will Yerry Mina be linked with a move to Spurs?

Despite being highly rated, Yerry Mina's career has stalled somewhat after struggles at Barcelona and in the early stages of his career at Everton.

Mina was blamed for at least two of the goals scored by Manchester City against Everton and it seems he was taken out the firing line by Marco Silva for the visit of Spurs.

The Colombian seems perfectly suited to the Premier League thanks to his height and ability to score goals at set pieces.

Spurs are well stocked right now with central defenders, including Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Juan Foyth.
