Jabo Ibehre could return for Cambridge’s clash with Crawley

New Cambridge manager Colin Calderwood will hope to have Jabo Ibehre back in the squad for his first home game against Crawley.
Striker Ibehre missed Calderwood’s first match in charge – a 3-0 defeat at Morecambe on Saturday – due to illness and will be assessed.
Ade Azeez came in for Ibehre as one of three changes for the Shrimps clash and it remains to be seen if he, Jake Carroll and Liam O’Neil keep their starting places.
Jevani Brown and Reggie Lambe dropped to the bench and will be pushing to return.
Crawley forward Ollie Palmer has seen his suspension extended and faces a further four games out.
Palmer would already have been banned against the U’s, but he has had two matches added to a three-game suspension after a charge of using foul and abusive language to an official against Northampton on December 4 was confirmed by the FA.
Lewis Young (calf), Jimmy Smith (knee) and Filipe Morais (hand) remain sidelined but Mark Connolly is in contention after making the bench on Saturday.
Ashley Nathaniel-George came in for Reece Grego-Cox for the 3-2 home defeat to Carlisle and will hope to keep his spot.
