Boreham Wood inflict rare defeat on leaders Leyton Orient

Femi Ilesanmi’s early goal gave Boreham Wood their first win since October 27 as they shocked league leaders Leyton Orient 1-0 at Meadow Park
Wood needed just four minutes to take the lead through Ilesanmi’s first goal of the season, the defender finding space in the box and firing his shot into the roof of the net.
The hosts had most of the early chances but Orient – who had lost just once in the league since April coming into the fixture – settled into the match and had had a few opportunities of their own before half-time.
Orient also had late chances to equalise but could find no way past Wood goalkeeper Ryan Huddart, who did well to keep out a close-range shot from Josh Koroma, as well as denying Josh Coulson.
