CESC FABREGAS' potential move from Chelsea to AC Milan may hinge on his wife Daniella Semaan.

The Serie A giants have been chasing the former Arsenal and Barcelona star, 31, for months and may have now found a secret weapon.

Semaan is said to "value an experience in Milan" according to reports in Italy, with Fabregas out of contract this summer.

Chelsea are thought to have offered the Spaniard a new short-term contract.

However, Fabregas will only agree to stay on at Stamford Bridge if he's offered a long-term deal.

With talks over a contract stalling, Fabregas could now be swayed to leave with Semaan seemingly having her heart set on a new life in Italy.

The pair married earlier this year and have three children together.

AC Milan have considered making a move this January for a cut-price £10million fee - rather than wait until the summer to pinch him for free.

However, the upturn in on-loan Blues midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko's form may by them the time they need to wait until July 1.

Fabregas has made only 11 appearances for Chelsea this season - and only four in the Premier League - as his time at the club appears to be up.
