Sir Alex Ferguson's Reaction To Manchester United Going 2-0 Down Says It All

Manchester United once again suffered a terrible opening 20 minutes to their Premier League game against Southampton but even Sir Alex Ferguson couldn't bring himself to be annoyed or surprised.

It used to be a surprise when Manchester United lost, even when they went behind and won on a regular basis you still couldn't help but be a little surprised that they'd gone behind in the first place.

Nowadays United seem to lose on at very least a semi regular basis and they certainly go behind often enough.

Once again the Red Devils found themselves trailing after 2-0 20 minutes to Southampton, a side in poor form and with a manager in Mark Hughes under severe pressure to keep his job.

The reaction at one point would have been one of surprise but at this point even United fans can do little else but laugh, and even Sir Alex Ferguson joined in:

It's fair to say in the initial photo Sir Bobby Charlton is more haunted by the performance by Jose Mourinho's side in the opening quarter of the game.

Usually in these situations the Red Devils have managed to turn things around in the second half, as they did against Newcastle United, Chelsea and Bournemouth, but this time they actually woke up with the game still in the opening 45 minutes.

First Romelu Lukaku ended his recent goal drought and before half time Ander Herrera had made it 2-2.

It made things slightly less funny for fans of other teams but you'd imagine that Fergie would have been happier, even with his earlier laughter.
