Barrow end losing run against Aldershot

Barrow snapped a five-game losing streak in the Vanarama National League by winning 2-0 at Aldershot.
Gary Waddock’s hosts enjoyed several early chances but it was Barrow who scored against the run of play when, in the 28th minute, John Rooney found Tyler Smith, who beat his man before slotting home.
Smith thought he had doubled Barrow’s lead shortly before half-time but the flag went up after he tucked away Jacob Blyth’s pass.
The Shots made three changes at half-time but could not find a way through, and Barrow ensured their own barren run would end when Jack Hindle found the bottom corner with six minutes remaining.
