Dundee United climb up to second in Ladbrokes Championship

Dundee United climbed to within three points of Ladbrokes Championship leaders Ayr after a 4-2 home win against Alloa.
Alan Trouten’s penalty had given Alloa an early lead, but United hit back to lead 3-1 thanks to goals from Nicky Clark, Pavel Safranko and Fraser Aird’s penalty.
Iain Flannigan reduced the deficit for Alloa before half-time, but Craig Curran added a late fourth for Robbie Neilson’s side.
United leapfrogged Ross County into second place in the table, while Neilson has won five of his six games in charge since replacing Csaba Laszlo last month.
