Ranieri took over the reins from axed Slavisa Jokanovic with the club dead-last in the Premier League after a horror start to 2018-19.

With the Italian preparing for his first game against Southampton next weekend, Ranieri was hilariously asked if he'd repeat his free pizza for a clean sheet stunt.

And Ranieri replied: "I have to organise something more, the pizza is not enough now.

"Let me think... everybody to McDonald's!

Fulham currently sit dead-last in the Premier League having conceded 31 goals

"If you see Fulham conceded a lot of goals and I am an Italian, and it’s important to maintain the clean sheet."

Meanwhile, Ranieri confessed his ecstasy at his return to the Premier League, saying: "I am very happy to come back.

"The best league in the world and I am very happy. Mr Khan called me and now we work together."

The 2015-16 Premier League-winning boss went on to say he is confident in keeping Fulham up despite their horror start to the season - conceding a league-high 31 goals.

Ranieri claimed the club must have a short-term memory, adding: "Forget what happened yesterday.

"I am an ambitious man, I have good players but choose those that show me fighting spirit.

"When players and fans help each and understand we are all together in the same way and now I need the support of our fans to try do our best."
