MOHAMED SALAH has surprised his fans with an unexpected way to relax after a full-on workout.
After hitting the gym the Liverpool ace... plays chess.
Mo Salah is quick to show off his perfect abs
Salah has bounced back from a slow start to the season and has already scored six times for the Reds, including the controversial goal against Fulham on Sunday.
In his recent Instagram story he proved his on-pitch form is a result of a tough training regime - showing off his impeccable abs.
He is posing topless on a yoga mat around kettle bells and weights, looking immensely focused on taking the best shot of his muscularity with his phone.
But it turns out Salah's daily routine consists of more than just hauling weights around the gym.
Playing chess is Salah's way to relax after workout
In another Instagram story, the Egypt international shows he is playing chess on his tablet after the workout.
All the chess pieces remain in their initial position making it difficult to assess how advanced are Salah's skills.
The 26-year-old forward does not shy away from sharing snaps from his personal life with his fans on social media.
Earlier this month he posted a holiday photo, leaning against a palm tree and showing off his muscles.
Salah is now with his national team preparing for a match against Tunisia on Friday.
Before arriving at the Pharaohs' camp, Liverpool's main man sparked a debate posting a black-and-white picture of him wearing Egypt jersey with his head dropped - hinting at his unhappiness while reporting to international duty.
Salah's been in the centre of a dispute over image rights with the Egyptian FA since his photo was featured on Egypt's official plane that clashed with the forward's individual sponsor Vodafone.
He took his disappointment to Twitter in August, posting a cryptic message in Arabic that read: “It’s normal that a football federation seeks to solve the problems of its players so they can feel comfortable.
“But really, what I see is exactly the opposite. It's not normal that my messages and my lawyer’s letters are ignored.
“I do not know why this is all (happening)? Don't you have enough time to answer us?!”
