Dawson and O’Connell set to sit out cup tie

Bury are expected to be without both Stephen Dawson and Eoghan O’Connell for Saturday’s FA Cup fixture at home to Dover.

Both are suffering from unspecified injuries, meaning Bury are one short in both midfield and defence.

O’Connell is nearing a return to fitness, but Saturday’s fixture is expected to come too soon for him.

Jermaine Beckford remains absent with a long-term knee injury, while Archer Jones has headed out on loan to Southport.

Dover are similarly missing several players.

Bobby-Joe Taylor is cup-tied, Antony Jeffrey is suspended, and Tim Schmoll and Connor Essam have unspecified injuries.

Their dwindling numbers contributed to the recruitment of the on-loan Jai Raison and Lee Worgan.

Both, however, are also cup-tied.
