Scunthorpe facing injury headache ahead of FA Cup clash with Burton

Scunthorpe boss Stuart McCall still has a lengthy injury list as he prepares for Saturday’s FA Cup first-round showdown with League One rivals Burton.
Midfielder Matthew Lund and striker Lee Novak played through the pain barrier after returning from injury for last weekend’s remarkable 3-3 league draw with Oxford, and they will be monitored ahead of the game.
However, on-loan Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson limped out of that match at half-time with a hip flexor problem and could be sidelined for up to three weeks.
Funso Ojo, Josh Morris and Stephen Humphrys are also still missing, while McCall will make a series of late checks on other players with knocks.
Burton manager Nigel Clough will also run the rule over his walking wounded before naming his team.
Kyle McFadzean, John Brayford, Stephen Quinn and Scott Frazer, none of whom featured in Wednesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy defeat by Middlesbrough’s Under-21s, are all carrying knocks and will be assessed.
However, central defender Ben Turner is likely to miss out once again with a calf injury despite his return to light training.
Full-back Reece Hutchinson is in a similar position as he continues his comeback from a hamstring problem.
