Matt Taylor hoping sickness bug disappears before Exeter face Forest Green

Exeter manager Matt Taylor is hoping a sickness bug affecting his squad will have lifted in time for Saturday’s match with Forest Green.

A number of players have been hit in recent days, with Jayden Stockley only able to feature in Tuesday’s draw at Crawley from the bench while Luke Croll played despite being affected.

However, Taylor is confident the club have caught the problem early to ensure it does not spread further through the squad.

Hiram Boateng is likely to miss out after suffering a muscle injury in the warm-up on Tuesday, being replaced by Jordan Tillson.

James Montgomery could continue in goal for Forest Green after an impressive display in a 3-1 win over Tranmere on Tuesday.

Montgomery got the call following Robert Sanchez’s recent struggles, and took his chance as he made a number of important saves which could help him keep the gloves.

Striker Reuben Reid remains sidelined through injury, meaning Tahvon Campbell is likely to continue in attack following his stoppage-time goal on Tuesday.

That win, a first in four for Rovers, moved them back into the play-off places.
