Morecambe injury woes pile up

Morecambe’s injury woes show no sign of easing ahead of Tuesday’s match against Mansfield.
Rhys Oates and Andrew Tutte missed Saturday’s home loss to Colchester as they joined James Sinclair (ankle), Andy Fleming and Alex Kenyon (both knee) and Garry Thompson (Achilles) in the treatment room.
Kevin Ellison shook off a calf injury to ease Jim Bentley’s concerns and start the game.
The Shrimps boss is now hoping that Steven Old (Achilles) and Zak Mills (hamstring and hernia) can step up their recoveries ahead of Tuesday’s game.
Mansfield will be without Will Atkinson after he saw red for two bookable offences in the goalless draw against Swindon at the weekend.
Forward Tyler Walker could return up front after David Flitcroft pointed to the amount of work done by Danny Rose as a lone striker while his side played with 10 men at the weekend.
Alex McDonald and David Mirfin remain sidelined with knee injuries but Craig Davies is closing on a return from an ankle problem.
Neal Bishop is available again after completing his own ban.
