Crewe without Corey Whelan against Bury

Crewe will be without Corey Whelan against Bury at Gresty Road on Saturday.
The on-loan Liverpool defender is away on international duty with the Republic Of Ireland Under-21s squad. Michael Raynes could come into the team in Whelan’s absence.
Midfielder Harry Pickering is fit again after making his return from an ankle injury as a second-half substitute in the defeat at Lincoln.
Paul Green (knee) and Eddie Nolan (calf) remain long-term absentees for Crewe, who have lost three of their last four League Two matches.
Bury, managed by former Crewe striker Ryan Lowe, will check on the fitness of Eoghan O’Connell.
The defender has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and if he fails to make it, Callum McFadzean will continue in central defence.
Nicky Maynard, another former Crewe striker, is expected to continue up front after scoring twice in the 2-2 draw with Mansfield last weekend.
The Shakers are in good form, having taken 14 points from their last seven matches.
