Eoghan O’Connell doubtful before Mansfield match

Bury defender Eoghan O’Connell is doubtful for his side’s home game against former boss David Flitcroft’s Mansfield.
O’Connell missed the goalless midweek draw at Northampton after sustaining a hamstring injury in last Saturday’s win at Colchester and if he fails to make it Callum McFadzean will continue in central defence.
Striker Nicky Maynard made his full debut at Northampton after signing for the club last weekend and is expected to continue, but Chris Dagnall is pushing for a recall.
Boss Ryan Lowe has no new injury problems as the Shakers bid for a fourth win in six league matches.
Mansfield manager Flitcroft will be without midfielder Alex MacDonald, who had knee surgery on Tuesday.
Flitcroft is also short on defensive cover, with with Hayden White doubtful due to an ankle problem.
Centre-halves David Mirfin (knee) and Zander Diamond (back) remain long-term absentees.
Midfielder Jacob Mellis is pushing for a place in the starting line-up having returned to the bench in midweek following suspension.
