Wynter wins it for Eastleigh

Alex Wynter struck late to secure Eastleigh a 1-0 Vanarama National League victory over Dagenham and Redbridge at Silverlake Stadium.
Forward Paul McCallum was at the heart of a late push for the winner from Eastleigh and in the 78th minute he would have put his side ahead but for a fine save by Daggers goalkeeper Elliot Justham.
After relentless pressure the visitors’ defence cracked when a Mark Yeates corner was brilliantly met by a leaping Wynter, who nodded the ball across goal and into the corner of the next.
The breakthrough arrived in the 89th minute and it was no more than Eastleigh deserved – but the victory came at a cost after McCallum was sent off deep into injury time for a second bookable offence.
