PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has hit back at Real Madrid over their interest in Neymar, revealing the Spanish side have been warned to end their interest.
Real Madrid have tracked Neymar almost since he left Barcelona in the summer of 2017.
His father is said to have spoken to Real president Florentino Perez via an intermediary, agent Wagner Ribeiro.
Real refrained from making a move for the Brazilian this summer despite cashing in on the £105m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
Yet rumours of Neymar eventually rocking up at the Bernabeu will not desist.
And Al-Khelaifi has had enough.
"It's a bit frustrating if we're being realistic because it's not fair for other clubs or anyone to speak with our players," he told Marca.
"We don't like it at all and we spoke about it with Real Madrid at one moment.
"We have a good relationship with them and they respect PSG, and I hope that this is true.
"We respect Real Madrid and their president Florentino Perez. I think it's important for everyone that we don't work behind the scenes.
"If there is something there then it's better that we speak, whether that's speaking with Florentino Perez or whoever and then saying what we like and what we don't like. That's what we expect of all clubs, not only Real Madrid."
Those 'behind the scenes' tactics relate to a number of transfer rumours circling the biggest clubs in Europe.
Barcelona was furious when they were forced to sell Neymar to PSG last year.
But that deal supposedly only came about because PSG had been irked by Barca's public chase of Marco Verratti.
Even the Spanish league got involved in the Neymar deal to try and block PSG's purchase.
But Al-Khelaifi hopes the bad blood between his club and the Catalans has now been forgotten.
"La Liga president Javier Tebas? I have told him that when talking about people, it is better to say it to their faces rather than behind their backs," Al-Khelaifi added.
"He should worry about his own problems rather than a club which does not concern his jurisdiction."
Asked about PSG's stance with Financial Fair Play - as UEFA look into the club's spending - the president said: "There are rumours that come from Spain in particular and we all know where they come from.
"What they say doesn't matter to us. We are calm. We know we have done things well and are in line with the rules.
"We have sold players for record amounts and the truth is that we focus on our business and we hope that they let us get on with working.
"I don't like people who aren't honest, those who seem like friends but stab you in the back. I like to say things to people's faces and to speak.
"I don't like when clubs speak about us behind our backs, and that's what is happening."
