Chris Powell ponders changes for Southend’s clash with Fleetwood

Southend boss Chris Powell could be tempted to make changes for his side’s home game against Fleetwood.
Powell has no major new injury worries, but the Shrimpers are bidding to avoid a fourth straight league defeat and are still without suspended pair Mark Oxley and Michael Kightly.
Goalkeeper Oxley and winger Kightly will both sit out the final game of their respective three-match bans.
Defender Harry Lennon is closing in on his return from a fractured toe, while Dru Yearwood (hamstring) remains doubtful and winger Sam Barratt (knee) is still out.
Fleetwood boss Joey Barton will assess Craig Morgan, Ched Evans, Conor McAleny and Dean Marney, who are all injury doubts.
Skipper Morgan is struggling with a hamstring strain and striker Evans sat out last week’s home draw against Accrington due to a knock.
Forward McAleny (hamstring) and midfielder Marney (groin) will also be assessed after sustaining injuries last Saturday.
Barton will still be without forward Wes Burns, who serves the final game of his three-match ban.
