Notts County missed out on their first win of the season as they were held to a 3-3 Sky Bet League Two draw by Stevenage, having led three times.
The Magpies took the lead on 22 minutes when Jon Stead was hauled down in the box, the striker picking himself up to score his fourth goal of the season from the spot.
Stevenage levelled in the 38th minute as Danny Newton’s low cross was turned in by Ben Kennedy.
County restored their lead after 43 minutes when Enzio Boldewijn cut in from the left and bent in his third goal of the season from 20 yards.
The Magpies were unable to see it through to half-time though as Alex Revell leapt above debutant Cedric Evina at the far post to loop a header in two minutes later.
Kane Hemmings restored the advantage four minutes after the break with a smart finish from Lewis Alessandra’s through ball.
But County were pegged back yet again after 73 minutes, when Newton drilled home a left-footed finish from eight yards as he met a nodded down cross.
