Salford cruise to victory at 10-man Bromley
Posted Sunday, September 16, 2018 by PA
Salford continued their impressive form with a 2-0 win at 10-man Bromley.
The visitors threatened early when Adam Rooney had a goal-bound shot blocked by Jake Goodman but were grateful to goalkeeper Chris Neal for denying Omar Bugiel on a one-on-one.
Salford made the breakthrough after 36 minutes as Rory Gaffney nodded home from close range after Rooney headed across goal.
Goodman came close to an immediate equaliser but Bromley had a mountain to climb when Adam Mekki was sent off early in the second half for a dangerous challenge.
Tom Walker added the finishing touches to a counter-attack just after the hour-mark to end the home side’s hopes and make it eight National League games unbeaten for Salford.
