JOSE MOURINHO celebrated Manchester United's return to winning ways by throwing his JACKET to supporters.
The United boss had just overseen a comfortable 2-0 win at a lethargic Burnley that will lift some of the gloom currently enveloping Old Trafford.
As referee Jon Moss blew his whistle to end the game, United fans burst into support for their beleaguered manager.
He responded by making his way to them, clambering over the hoardings and giving away his jacket.
To be fair, the Portuguese gaffer had only been using it as an accessory all game, obviously heated up by what was happening on the pitch.
Romelu Lukaku scored both goals as United went some to way to erasing heartaches caused by a frustrating summer on the transfer front.
Jose Mourinho was pumped up before and after an important victory for Man Utd
The only tarnish on the most routine of victories was the 72nd minute red card for substitute Marcus Rashford for a headbutt on Phil Bardsley.
The England striker had only been on the pitch 11 minutes when he was sent packing back down the tunnel.
Mourinho had also stood in front of the Stretford End to applaud fans who were singing his name following last week's 3-0 drubbing against Tottenham.
And from the first whistle to the last at Turf Moor, the visiting fans were vocal over just who they want to stay at the club.
Man Utd fans gave Jose Mourinho their strong backing before, during and after their 2-0 victory
But for Ed Woodward, things are not so rosy.
A banner was flown over the stadium before kick off in protest at the chief executive, with fans believing he is single-handedly to blamee for United falling behind their rivals.
