Pogba made summer transfer request at Man Utd

Paul Pogba made a transfer request at Manchester United this summer, it has been revealed.

Marca says Pogba made the demand amid interest from Barcelona, but it was rejected by United chiefs.

The midfielder's agent, Mino Raiola, also worked on engineering a move out of Old Trafford for Pogba, but United refused to do busines.

Barca are expected to test United's resolve before Friday's transfer deadline with a €100m-plus bid for the World Cup winner.

Just Monday, Barca defender Gerard Pique said, "We would be very happy to have him here with us."
