Ex-Manchester United star Lee Sharpe believes Zinedine Zidane would be the ideal replacement for Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese has come under fire after United's loss to Brighton on Sunday. Talk of a managerial change at Old Trafford has started to become louder, and Sharpe has nominated Zidane, who left Real Madrid at the end of last season, as the commutate successor.
Sharpe told talkSPORT: "I think Zidane would be the ideal candidate.
"He's played at the highest level, managed at the highest level and has been successful at both.
"He's a big enough name who could cope with the pressure and the questions asked of managing a club of that size so I think he would be ideal."
