Everton are without Richarlison for their Carabao Cup second-round clash with Rotherham.
The forward is suspended having been sent off in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.
Defender Phil Jagielka will serve the final game of his own three-match ban.
Michael Keane (head) is absent as are summer signings Yerry Mina (foot) and Andre Gomes (hamstring) but Kurt Zouma and Bernard could make their first starts.
Rotherham boss Paul Warne has admitted he will make changes for the game.
The Millers recorded their second Championship win of the season against Millwall on Sunday and Warne will rotate his team.
Defender Billy Jones could feature following a hip injury while Jamie Proctor, David Ball, Joe Newell and Clark Robertson could all get starts.
Darren Potter (Achilles) is the only injury victim and he will not play again this year.
