Celtic short in defence for the visit of Hamilton

Celtic have a shortage of centre-backs ahead of Sunday’s Ladbrokes Premiership encounter with Hamilton.

Dedryck Boyata’s availability remains as unclear as his long-term future while Jack Hendry (ankle) is out and Jozo Simunovic (ankle) faces a scan. Marvin Compper is still short of fitness too.

Odsonne Edouard (hamstring) will return to training early next week and Lewis Morgan and Nir Bitton (both knee) remain out.

Lennard Sowah is available for Hamilton.

The left-back missed Accies’ first two league games with an ankle injury but played for the reserves in midweek.

Defender Alex Gogic and frontman Marios Ogkmpoe are both out with long-term knee injuries.
