Ipswich winger Gwion Edwards should be available for the Sky Bet Championship match against Aston Villa.
Edwards sat out the midweek Carabao Cup tie at Exeter, which the Blues lost on penalties, as a precaution on his thigh problem, but has resumed full training.
Town boss Paul Hurst, who made three changes in midweek, reported no fresh injury problems, with midfielders Teddy Bishop and Danny Rowe again set to be part of the squad as they step up their recovery.
Tom Adeyemi continues his rehabilitation from a pre-season Achilles injury.
Villa boss Steve Bruce is expected to recall his regulars after making nine changes for the Carabao Cup win over Yeovil.
Goalkeeper Andre Moreira, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid, was handed his debut, but Norweigan Orjan Nyland could come back into the team as Villa look to maintain their 100 per cent Championship start.
Midfielders Jack Grealish, John McGinn and Mile Jedinak should also all return, while 19-year-old forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy will be hoping for another chance to impress.
Midfielder Keinan Davis and forward Scott Hogan continue their rehabilitation from respective groin problems, along with 20-year-old Callum O’Hare (knee).
