Ipswich Fan Threatened To Keep His Nan Locked Up Unless The Club Signed Someone

One Ipswich Town supporter was so desperate for the club to sign a centre-back that he tweeted to say he wouldn't let his Nan out of a birdcage until they did.
Of course it was just the classic funny picture of a random old woman that is regularly used on social media, but Ipswich decided to make the most of it and use it to announce their latest bit of business today.
We don't condone this kind of thing at all, but it's time to let your Nan out, Luke... 👀 https://t.co/KYgOOXfHCK

Ipswich then swiftly confirmed they had indeed added a new centre-back to the ranks in the form of Toto Nsiala . But not only that, it was also a double signing as his Shrewsbury Town team-mate Jon Nolan has also been brought in for a combined fee of £2 million. The pair, both 26, have signed three-year deals at Portman Road.

As good as the bit of banter is there, it isn't the first time a Football League club have responded to a lad called Luke threatening to lock his Gran up. Wycombe Wanderers already did that yesterday so Ipswich were merely following suit.
