Harrogate denied victory on National League debut

Harrogate were denied a win on their National League debut as Jamie Collins’ last-gasp penalty secured a 2-2 draw for last season’s play-off semi-finalists Sutton.
After Town hit the woodwork twice in the first 30 minutes through Aaron Williams and Dominic Knowles, Sutton made them pay six minutes before half-time when Charlie Clough headed home Tom Bolarinwa’s free-kick from close range.
Jack Muldoon tapped in the equaliser on the hour mark, converting after Jamie Butler parried out George Thomson’s powerful effort, before summer signing Kelvin Langmead fired in what looked like the winner in the 86th minute.
But Collins fired his spot-kick, awarded for handball, into the top corner in the fourth minute of added time to secure a point for United.
