OLIVIER GIROUD has been soaking up the sunshine and playing beach volleyball while on holiday with his wife.

The Chelsea star is enjoying a well-deserved break in Formentera after he steered France to World Cup glory in Russia.

Giroud splashed about in the sea during a game of volleyball with his friends.

He looked in high spirits as he shared a number of intimate moments with his American wife Jennifer.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, kissed in the water and held hands as they strolled down the beach.

Donning a pair of white swimming trunks, the former Arsenal striker showcased his new hairstyle.

Giroud lived up to his promise and shaved his head after Les Bleus won the World Cup.

The 31-year-old was cheered on by his American partner in Russia as he played in all seven of France's matches.

But the striker managed to go the whole tournament without registering a shot on target.

Maurizio Sarri will be hoping that he returns to Stamford Bridge with his shooting boots on after the extended summer break.

He is due to return next month before Chelsea start their Premier League campaign with a match against Huddersfield on 11 August.

The Blues are without a number of their biggest stars for pre-season friendlies - including Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante.
