Does Yerry Mina have the quality to play for Barcelona

Yerry Mina failed to make an impact at Barcelona after signing last summer, having few minutes and there were plenty of doubts about his level but he made a telling contribution for Colombia against England as did Harry Kane who was a thorn in the opposition defence.

Confidence appears to be what is needed for Mina as he shone during the World Cup and also coped well against a top striker in Kane. It looked as though he does have what it takes to play at the highest level and posseses real strength in the air.

Kane put England ahead with a penalty following an absurd foulby Carlos Sanchez that forced Colombia to come from behind.

The Tottenham player has six goals now from three games, and even though three of those have been penalties, he has enhanced his reputation and is a real contender for the Ballon d'Or.

In attack for Colombia, Falcao was largely isolated and did not create chances to put pressure on England. Only the shot by Uribe that was saved by Pickford was the moment when the England defence was threatened and of course with the following corner.
