Atletico's fans light flares during the UEFA Europa League final.
UEFA has punished Atletico Madrid after fans held up a racist banner in the Europa League final against Olympique Marseille, European football's governing body said on Thursday.
The Spanish side must close a section of their ground, including 3,000 seats, in their next home match in European competition.
Atletico were also fined after fans set off fireworks during the 3-0 win Lyon, France, last month.
Marseille have been charged over crowd disturbances, fireworks, throwing objects, acts of damage and a late kick-off, though UEFA has not yet met to discuss this case.
