Stopping Real Madrid from winning a third straight Champions League title will be no easy feat but Bayern Munich CEO Karl Heinz Rummenigge has backed his side to knock out the holders.
A titanic semi-final clash is set to unfold between the European giants over the coming weeks with Die Roten's team spirit being emphasised ahead of the tie.
"To beat Real Madrid, we need to win two games, but if there is a team that can do it, it is Bayern," insisted Rummenigge to reporters.
"Our team has enormous individual quality and Jupp [Heynckes] has managed to put the pieces of the puzzle together in a wonderful way.
"There is no kind of envy or selfishness, just a great team spirit."
Notching a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal semi-finals, Thomas Muller described his team's desire and reflected on the 6-2 triumph.
"Our hunger is now greater," said Muller.
"Apart from the league and the hearts of the fans who have seen this match, we haven't won anything. It was like an advert for German football."
