Bayern Munich confirm Vidal ruled out for the season

Arturo Vidal will not have the chance to banish his demons against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals after a knee injury ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Sent off in Bayern Munich's trip to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu last season, the Chilean had hoped to be fit for at least the second leg of this year's tie despite undergoing surgery following a training ground injury.
However Bayern confirmed on Tuesday that Vidal's season is over after the operation revealed more serious problems than had been first diagnosed.
Jupp Heynckes is now facing a dilemma of who to start in central midfield given this absence with Corentin Tolisso, Sebastian Rudy, Javi Martinez and of course James Rodriguez all looking to feature.
