Borewood Wood see off Chester

Boreham Wood improved their chances of a home play-off by edging out struggling Chester 4-2.
Michael Folivi put the hosts ahead in fortuitous fashion when Bruno Andrade’s half-volley deflected off the back of the Watford loanee for his first goal for club.
Andrade doubled Wood’s lead from the penalty spot after Kane Smith was brought down just before half-time and Morgan Ferrier put the hosts 3-0 up just before the hour-mark with a cool finish.
Chester pulled one back through James Akintunde to give themselves hope as the 22-year-old slotted past Grant Smith.
However, Ricky Shakes made sure of the points with Wood’s fourth in the 90th minute before Akintunde grabbed his second in stoppage time.
