Gateshead ease to Eastleigh victory

Goals from Daniel Johnson and Jordan Burrow earned Gateshead a comfortable 2-0 victory against Eastleigh.

Johnson opened the scoring for the home side on the stroke of half-time, latching on to a flick-on from Burrow to score his 16th goal of the season.

Burrow did not know much about the hosts’ second goal seven minutes into the second half. The ball bounced off the striker in the box and looped into the net.

Mark Yeates had Eastleigh’s best second-half chances, while Johnson should have had a second goal of the game for the Heed.
