Farid El Alagui rescued Edinburgh City a point in a 2-2 draw at high-flying Stirling.
French striker El Alagui fired home a 70th-minute equaliser after Stirling had cancelled out Graham Taylor’s opener to take the lead with goals in each half from Darren Smith and Ross Smith.
Stirling extended their unbeaten run to five matches, but they lie seven points behind second-placed Montrose, while Edinburgh are also undefeated in five as they bid to steer clear of the bottom two.
Aaron Murrell fired a late equaliser for Berwick in another see-saw encounter at Shielfield Park, where they drew 2-2 with Elgin.
Berwick substitute Murrell struck from close range in the 87th minute after Darryl McHardy had given Elgin a second-half lead.
Stephen Bronsky’s opener for Elgin just before half-time had been cancelled out by Berwick striker Jack Hamilton midway through the second period.
Clyde midfielder Chris McStay fired a double in his in-form side’s 3-0 win at bottom club Cowdenbeath.
McStay was on target in the 12th minute and fired home another in the closing stages after David Goodwillie had doubled Clyde’s lead in the second half.
Clyde have won 10 of their last 13 league games, while Cowdenbeath slipped to their first defeat in five.
